~Bluefire~

A friend of the band runs a greenhouse no too far from Rainbird Studios and has had Bluefire perform for the customers on several occasions. After hours, we had the luxury of getting together, jam, and bask in the acoustics of the greenhouse. Actually, if it weren't for the ventilation fans (and the heat and humidity), it would be a perfect location for recording. Anyway, we were jamming on some jazz riffs when this little ditty popped up. The song structure, style, and lyrics arose around the idea of an old pinstripe-suited mobster (think Al Capone/Bugsy Malone-ish). If we could pull it off, cigar and cigarette smoke would waft out of the speakers when listening to this one.
