~Bluefire~

Mugandu had been pulsing through Bluefire's collective veins for some time. Initially, Mugandu was an instrumental called Swamp Stomp. Chris had been reading a couple of Poppy Z. Brite books (at the same time), and was moved by the rich sensuality of rural Louisiana. He had also seen Blues Brothers 2000 and the idea of a voodoo witch using music to cast her magic left an impression on him. Putting those ingredients into the blender of his brain, the lyrics for Song of Mugandu was the result. A couple of years were spent refining it to what is heard now.
