Chris and Scott have been influenced by the music of Marilyn Manson since their debut album. When Smells Like Children came out, there was one song in particular that we really liked. I Put A Spell On You was a cover of the Screaming Jay Hawkings classic. We did not want to do a straight cover but we really liked the song, so we decided to do our own interpretation of it. Chris improvised the lyrics each time it was performed. Finally, seeing first-hand the spell drugs and alcohol cast, he wrote the lyrics from an addicts point of view. It has been tied to Mugandu ever since and was the heaviest song ever performed by Bluefire.
