~Bluefire~

Chris was jamming on a riff during one of the later Bluefire rehearsals when Erik started building up a drum line. Suddenly, as though we had all played this 1000 times before, we all slammed into the same groove at the same time. The power of the riff often makes Chris want to jump up and down while playing (not a normal activity, mind you). The overall vibe reminded him of 80's metal party music, so the lyrics were written to reflect that feeling.

The song came out near the end of Bluefire's career and became the title of its last CD. The CD release party was a huge event and was documented on video and a live CD. but neither was ever released. They remain in our private archive as the sound quality was not up to our standards.

Since this song was used to open the second set of that show, we thought it proper to open the second CD of this collection with it.
